Pursuit of Tone – Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves

Tom DeLonge is a true rockstar. From Blink-182, to Angels & Airwaves and Boxcar Racer, he has proven to be a trailblazer in the music industry. We recently got the chance to film a special episode of the AT&T TV series Pursuit of Tone featuring Tom and his remarkable journey from the California punk rocker that helped create an alternative sound to the founder of a multimedia entertainment company. The entire episode was shot with cinematic style in 6K resolution using some of the latest techniques in camera movement. This special episode even had its own Hollywood premiere at a private 4K screening event attended by an incredible mix of professionals from the music, television and film industries. It was a fantastic night, and a fitting highlight to an awesome project. Hunter on the Road

Director of Photography Jonathan Belinski got the chance to go on the road with Country Music Star Hunter Hayes to get a behind the scenes look at the lifestyle of a musician on the road and his artistic process in the Pursuit of Tone, a new series from AT&T and Ernie Ball. Shot all on 6K digital cinema cameras and lenses, and with intimate access to the artists, this series aims to be fresh new twist on the music-doc.

Making Music

Director of Photography Jonathan Belinski and a small team recently visited the Ernie Ball Factory in California where fine instruments are made by hand. Here they sat down with famed musician St. Vincent to discuss her relationship with music and her latest collaborative project. It was a chance to really showcase the skill and precision that goes into the making of musical instruments.

Chaos Theory

Belinski Media Recently had a chance to shoot a music video style piece featuring Talib Kweli. The Manhattan rooftop and the afternoon sunlight were a fantastic elements to work with. Director of Photography Jonathan Belinski used a variety of tools to move the camera and get the most out of the dramatic setting.
