We recently got the chance to shoot a really unique project on location in Pittsburgh, PA. Ford was looking to find the ultimate Steelers fan to give them the surprise of a lifetime, a visit from legendary Steelers QB Terry Bradshaw, in a brand new Ford F150 of course! The shoot was a mix of interior shooting in a custom designed Steelers fan cave, and some exterior driving shots with Terry and the F150. For the driving shots, we had a traditional “hostess tray” camera setup to get profile shots of Terry. For wide driving shots, our team rigged one of our RED cameras on a Movi Pro to the front of a follow vehicle and Jonathan was able to control the camera remotely. It was a great team effort between Camera and Grip departments, and all of the shots came out very successfully. It is always fun and rewarding to try new and different techniques for moving the camera, especially when it further demonstrates the capabilities of your crew and equipment. The end result was a really fun and memorable spot.
