Peyton Manning was undoubtedly one of the very best to ever play the game of football. His talent, knowledge and passion for sport and competition are legendary. We were lucky enough to get the chance to film this special piece commemorating his legendary career, so Jonathan and a small team flew to Indianapolis to visit Lucas Oil Stadium with one of the best quarterbacks of all time. Jonathan shot on 2 Red Dragon cameras outfitted with Leica Summicron-C prime lenses. One of the cameras was built out on a DJI Ronin gimbal system so that Jonathan could follow Peyton as he walked the halls, tunnels and turf of his old stadium. The lighting was kept very minimal for a straightforward, natural look. This natural look was actually the result of a lot of crew and equipment and a full day of prelighting so that Jonathan and the gaffer could scout each corner of the stadium and devise a lighting scheme that would balance and complement the natural ambient light of each shot. We got to know the stadium pretty well and we even got to set up some nice time lapse shots of the exterior with some of our new toys. It was a unique piece to be a part of, and overall a very fun and memorable shoot. Producer: Zachary Budman Director of Photography: Jonathan Belinski
